We want to make sure all your needs are met so we still prefer you talking to one of our great staff! Just call our number
at (815)849-5930 or e-mail us at mendotahillscamp@aol.com and we will make sure to get you set up, the best way
possible. We will take a deposit for each reservation made. We are happy to adjust your sites or dates as needed at any
time, with no extra fee!
Hours of Operation
**We are offering Rustic Camping, first come, first serve during our off season. No water is available and no regular
office hours. Please call (815)849-5930 to inquire more info**.
Monday – Thursday 9am – 5pm
Friday – Saturday 9am – 9 pm
Hours are from April to October only

Regular Campsite
Check in 1pm – Check out 12pm (Noon)
Rental Camper
Check in 3pm – Check out 11am
After checking out, you are welcome to stay the day and use the facilities and swimming beach.
Park campers or vehicles near the camp store, if needed.
Online Reservations
We now have online reservations! If you need any assistance, reserving long term, or with a group, please call our office
at (815)849-5930.
Online Giftcards
Purchase your online gift cards for your friends and family. These can be used for your camping stay, rentals, and gift
shop. Gift cards will be emailed to the recipient and stored in our reservations database for them to use anytime. Please
call our office if you are doing a benefit or charity event.
Cancellation and Deposits
A non-refundable $25 deposit and credit card number is needed for each site to guarantee the reservation prior to
arrival. Golf Cart Rentals will also need a separate non-refundable $25 deposit.
You can cancel anytime and the deposit will be held for future reservations, within the current year. If it is a no show, you
will forfeit the deposit and any other payments you have made on the site. Any online booking fees or credit fees will not
be refunded.
Pet Policy
All pets are to be kept on a leash, except in the large playing field (13 acres). We do not allow any pets inside the Rental
campers or any indoor buildings. No Pets on the beach but they can go for a swim in any of the ponds!
Quiet Hours
Quiet time is from 10pm to 8am. We will ask that everyone turn off any music during quiet hours and is respectful to their
neighbors. The use of golf carts will be limited from 11pm to 8am.
Wifi
It is limited to certain areas, since we have 130 acres with large oak trees. For best results, visit the camp store or activity
center for free WiFi. If you are a seasonal, please inquire about internet to your site (extra fee)
Firewood
No firewood can cross county lines. You may purchase firewood from our camp store or purchase a large crate.
Golf Course Passes
We have a fantastic deal with the beautiful Shady Oaks Golf Course, located 1 mile away. Ask in the camp store for
details.
Boat Rentals
In the boat dock area, there are: paddle boats, paddle boards, kayaks, canoe, row boats, and corcl boats. All boats are
FREE of charge. Check them out in the camp store and safety vests and paddles will be provided
Archery and Axe Throwing
We have scheduled archery weekends since we are required to have a certified archery instructor on site. If you would like
to use the archery range, sign a waiver and use on your own (Archery is not done every weekend). The Archery Range is
located near the pavilion.
Axe throwing is done more frequently on weekends. Waivers are required.
If you have a large group and would like to do Axe throwing or archery, please call ahead for more info.
Personal and Rental Golf Carts
Personal golf carts are allowed but must be insured (please bring your insurance card during check in). All Golf cart rules
must be followed in the campground. There is a $20 permit per stay for the golf cart. Golf cart rentals are available as
well.
RV Storage
Yes! We offer outdoor RV storage (when available). We can also move your camper to the site and bring it back to
storage after your stay. Ask about our great Winter storage deal!
Public Swimming
Public swimming (non-campers) can be done Monday through Friday only. We do offer a discount family swim pass as
well. Swimming and the inflatables are available Memorial Weekend to Labor Day Weekend.
Fishing
We have great fishing at Mendota Hills Campground! It is catch and release. You can fish in Bass, Bluegill, and Catfish
Lakes (No fishing in the swimming lake). The types of fish found in each one are Bass, Bluegill, Sunfish, Crappie, Catfish,
and Albino Cat (In Bass Lake). We do offer nightcrawlers, wax worms, fishing supplies, nets, and fishing poles in our
giftshop.
